Social login, new Twitch features, and a ground-up rework of how Polkadot payments feel — here's everything shipping this month.
Sign In with Your Platform Account
You can now sign in to Sacred using your Twitter, Twitch, YouTube, Kick, or Discord account — no email or password needed. Just click the platform button on the login page and you're in.
If you already have a Sacred account with one of those platforms connected, it'll find your existing account automatically. New users get an account created on the spot.
Smarter Login on Claim Pages
When you open a claim page for a tip sent to a specific platform, the login step now shows a "Continue with [Platform]" button instead of a generic login form. Claiming a Twitch tip? You'll see "Continue with Twitch" front and center.
Account Security Settings
There's a new Security section in your dashboard settings. If you signed up with email, you can change your password. If you signed up via a platform account, you can add an email and password to your account so you have a backup way to log in.
Stream Markers on Tips
When someone tips you while you're live on Twitch, Sacred can now automatically place a stream marker at the exact moment the tip lands. This makes it easy to find tip moments in your VODs later — no more scrubbing through hours of footage.
Stream markers are opt-in — enable them from your dashboard settings under your Twitch account. You'll be prompted to grant the necessary Twitch permissions when you turn it on.
Unified Twitch Permissions
Previously, enabling a new Twitch feature (like clips or markers) would request only that feature's permissions, which could accidentally revoke permissions you'd already granted for other features. That's fixed now.
There's a single permissions modal that shows all available Twitch features at once — clips, stream markers, and anything we add in the future. When you connect Twitch from the dashboard or upgrade permissions from settings, you'll see every feature toggle in one place. The OAuth request combines all selected scopes so nothing gets lost.
Rebuilt Polkadot Payment Experience
The Polkadot payment flow has been completely redesigned into a single, unified card. Instead of separate payment details and extension tabs, you now see your selected account, balance, and a single pay button all in one view.
Connecting a wallet is now two phases:
- Pick your extension — Sacred detects installed wallets (Polkadot.js, Talisman, SubWallet) and shows them as cards. No auth popups until you choose one.
- Pick your account — only the selected extension asks for permission, then shows its accounts. You can connect additional wallets from here if needed.
For returning users, auto-reconnect happens silently — extensions you've already authorized are re-enabled in the background without any popups. Your last-used account is remembered across sessions so the pay button is ready immediately.
Wallet Bug Fixes
- Wrong account used for payment — selecting an account in Polkadot.js but having SubWallet installed could cause SubWallet to override the selection. Sacred now routes the transaction to whichever extension actually owns the selected account.
- "Loading accounts..." hanging forever — if any browser extension stalled during authorization (e.g. ignoring a Talisman popup), it would block all wallets from loading. Each extension now has an independent timeout.
- Talisman icon not displaying — fixed a broken image path and a Next.js caching issue.
- Pay button missing on first load — the selected account's wallet source is now persisted so the button renders immediately without reopening the dialog.
Unclaimed Tips Notification
When you visit Sacred with tips waiting to be claimed, you'll now see a prompt letting you know right away. It links directly to your dashboard so you can claim them in one click.
